Handcrafted Oak Plein Air Tripod

Description

This tripod was designed with strength and stability in mind. After years of dealing with shaky easel setups, Marc designed and built this monstrosity (an affectionate term used advisedly).

The tripod is built using oak with cherry accents. It weighs in at 7 lbs with a wide base making it the ideal rig to paint with during extreme weather conditions such as tornadoes and hurricanes. (We do not recommend painting during tornadoes or hurricanes)

The legs are constructed using sliding dovetail joints, which removes the need for hardware that will eventually wear out, fall off, or fail.

The mast jaws open up to 24 in. wide, so bring out your big canvases! This tripod can handle it.
